I also have never heard of Dr. Laura and would be interested in learning who she is.

Take a look at my photos and see the real Dr. Laura. She has been on radio for almost 20 years. She supports families, and especially children. Trying to encourage people to do the RIGHT thing is not an easy task. I do not agree with her always 100%, BUT the message is still what is in the best interest of your children and your family, how can THAT be a bad thing? For me personally I struggled as a mom going through medical school/then nursing school because I had another baby and always wondered if I was doing the right thing making the right choices, I made many mistakes early on that I would NOT have made had Dr Laura been in my life. How many times do we make a decision that hits us in the face and we wish we would have done or said something different? Trying to help others in a big way takes a lot of courage, you will always have those trying to cut your legs off, jealousy and hatred for someone espousing something that should be common sense, but is not always common sense. I know many many nurses who listen to Dr Laura and she has helped them not only making good choices but moving forward to nursing school when family conflicts made it seem impossible. ALL of the money she raises miliions of dollars from her books and jewelry goes to help our military familes. You will NEVER find someone, everyone totally agrees with or totally loves, BUT if the common thread is for the good and bettering of all of us nurses and non nurses, I CAN and DO support that. Hope this helped.

Dr Laura is def NOT for everyone, she tells it like it is and some do not want to hear what they should be doing, they want what they want! Like this girl that just had 8 babies after 6 under 7 at home that she can not afford, now Dr laura calls that irresponsible, and guess what I agree!

I wish I had a Dr. Laura in my life while I was growing up.  Everyone needs one.
