My soldier son soon to be unemployed

Posted over 4 years ago I have a 25 yr old son, newlywed with a precious new wife. He has been active duty since he was 18...dropped out of North Georgia College to do the army thing. He has been to Iraq twice and was recently diagnosed with 'asthma' they diagnosed him just last month. The army is giving him a medical discharge soon and he'll be unemployed with a new wife who has a hx of a mild form of epilepsy so has to be under the care of a neurologist constantly. Man, how is that kid going to come back home to north Georgia with a new wife with medical needs and him being just 1.5 yrs from a degree in chemical engineering. That boy absolutely loves the Army and I'm shocked that this has happened. I am wondering if maybe he had lung damage during his last stay in Iraq, inhaling all kinds of bad crap. He was a football player in high school and has NEVER been close to being an asthmatic. He will have to get a 'real' job and finish school......that's all there is to it. How does a kid with a new wife get a job when all he's done professionally is soldier stuff? I consider this a venting issue and career advice issue as well. We only have one heart, take care of it!
