With the exception of her pro-life stance what is it that so many people dislike? Even a pro-life stance can't really hurt much, as anything related to pro-life or pro-choice can only legally be decided by the Supreme Court and John McCain has sworn that he'll be appointing judges who ONLY interpret the law and won't make the law. That's the job of Congress.

I only see positives, as ANY of you parents out there of special needs children will have an advocate in the White House. Maybe I'm naive, here, but I just don't see what there is NOT to like.

I do like her...........and one of the reasons is she is a Washington outsider.  I hope the media lets up on her.  If I was in her shoes, I know I dont have the fortitude she does and would have gotten my moose gun and ran home, but that's me.

She is against gay marraiges and gay rights.  She wants creationism to be taught in public schools, where it has no place and infringes on the rights of many.  She stated in an interview she really had no idea what a VP did.

I thought she supported both creationism and evolution.   No quotes, just trying to remember what she said.  I think it should be both and maybe optional based on the beliefs of the family, requiring consent?  I dont know about the funding part.  I'm 46 now...............I dont remember much about either in public school being taught when I was a kid.  Of course I didn't pay that much attention.  In Sunday school, that's the landmark for my foundation with creationism, I truly dont remember it when I was a kid in public school.

One of my issues about her is that she wants to take sex education out of schools. BAD IDEA! As she has already found, in regards to teenage preganancy, not talking about it is not the answer. Our teens need to be taught the dangers of std's and protection and what not. Yes some folks say this should be up to the parents, and I do believe parents should be a part of it. But think about it. We were all teenagers once, I remember how I felt about my parents during those years! If we don't teach our kids about safe sex we are gonna have an outbreak of teen pregnancy and std's and so on. Which, by the way does nothing but put more strain on the abortion issue! If we have a whole bunch of teenage mothers it's going to hurt our economy as well, because alot of those girls drop out of school or don't go to college etc. etc. I don't know if this was out of line but I don't want my baby girl working at a gas station for the rest of her life because she couldn't afford to go to college.

2 weeks ago, I was horrified about sex ed for little ones...............they really shouldnt do it to the very small kids.  <I spoke about this on an abortion thread>.  Thing is..................have yall seen how much quicker kids are developing sexually?  When my daughter was in the 8th grade, her boobs were bigger than mine.  All of our meat is full of steroids, there's that urban legend that if you heat up leftovers in a microwave using saran wrap as a cover, it creates something in the food which will mature girls hormones...........that might not be an urban legend.

I'm deep in the Bible belt, but I'm not blind.  These kids are growing up faster, tv is very promiscuous, even primetime...........they are gonna be curious and need to be educated, and let them know you, as the parent, will love them and support them no matter what.  I think alot of abortions happen because of what the girls being scared of their parents reaction.  They need love unconditionally, education, and protection.  I took my own daughter in for her first gyn and told her she needs to protect herself for her future, against pregnancy std's especially if she's messing around with the boyfriend she's had since she was 18.  She's now 23, and I know she's not going to talk to me about sex, now but I made her listen to me when she was 15, I had control back then.  My mom found out, and to this day I have no idea how she found out, but she thought I was trying to enfluence her into becoming 'a ho'.  But I'm still not GrannyAngie

Jenny is right.  There area alot of idiot parents out there, the schools might be their only way to learn.  Our society is changing

I like her. As far as her inexperience, I think the Dims are making way too much of that when their own candidate running for Pres is just as inexperieced and young. Hypocrites. I really thought they would leave that alone, but they can't resist. Very telling.

The gop is doing the same thing with Obama, so what's your point?

IF someone wishes to have creationism to be taught then go to church, not to school.

Sex education most certainly should be taught in school, from kindergarten onwards.

I think kindergarten is a bit too young.................but I do think it needs to be much sooner than it is now.  However, I dont have little kids so maybe there needs to be something where parents with kindergarten age kids who wish their kids to attend this, it be an option with parantal request/consent.

Sorry, I feel 5 is certainly young enough to teach them about their bodies and why things work the way they do.  They begin to ask questions about where babies come from about 3.

They absolutuely do.  It is not that we want to promote early promiscuity, it is that we need to educate our children and establish an open, honest, and age appropriate dialog from day one.

My point is, the Dims don't seem to have much of an answer. He who is in glass houses should not throw stones. I just thought(silly me!) that since Obama was being cited for that, he would maybe realize how hypocritical it looks for his side to say the same. But, he's in Messiah mode, so I guess he thinks he's untouchable. I think he's actually starting to believe his own hype! Informercial?! Now that's narcissism at its best or worst I should say.

He actually gave Letterman a reason to crack a joke about him.

I thought it was a great idea and McCain should have done the same. It is not narcassitic it is giving people more info to decide on a VERY important matter!

Did you hear how much money it cost to do that? Don't you think that with the economy doing so poorly, maybe that wasn't the smartest thing to do? You can like it, but people are going to bitch and moan about the cost of an infomercial when the country is struggling. Kinda makes Palin's 150,000.00 suits look insignifigant at this point.

I think he made a misstep and poor judgemnt on doing that. Sorry. He will be critisized for it.The adoring media won't say anything, but again, Americans are not as stupid as the media likes to think.

Sure maybe it did cost alot of money. Still not as bad as a 150,000.00 suit. That is the biggest waste of money I have ever heard of. One of the main reasons I hate celebritys. Maybe because Obama didn't spend that much money on clothes is why he could pull this off. And with willing doantions from millions of Americans! Poeple like you and me gave a measly $5 doallrs to the campaign. Thats how!

Palin didn't spend that on one suit. She spent it on her entire wardrobe for the campaign. She has said she will donate them to charity when she finishes the campaign. I'm sure consultants are the ones who actually went and spent that. She was new to the public arena, and you know how it is, they always have to make-over a person to make them appear fashionable.

Lets ask how much Obma's wife and Mccains wife has spent.I'm sure they're getting spiffier outfits to be seen in. I know they aren't the candidates, but I'm sure their wardrobes are not cheap.

Our school system does teach sex education in Kinder- its based on appropriate and inappropriate touching- so please be carefull and investigate what the "sex education" presented is....
