Hi everyone,  I just wanted to drop a hello to all.  I just found this link today.  I am finishing up my pre-req's and will start my surg tech program in the fall.  Once I finish that, I will get a job in the field and then continue on to get my nursing degree.  The funny thing (or crazy) is that I am 39 years old.  some days I need encouragement that I can really do this, but I am so very excited to be joining in the nursing ranks.  I is truly what I was meant to do with my life.  I should have started 8 years ago, but life happened.  Oh well, better late than never, I guess.  Any advice that anyone has would be greatly appreciated.  Plus, I would love to get into the medical field now while I am still in school, but do not know what to try for.  I currently work in retail--Not fun at all.  Any suggestions???   Thank you very much.  Trudy
