I don't know what type of facilities you all work at. I have been working at a facility that once had 2 acute units, 2 sub acute, 2 ltc, and 2 alzheimer units. Now a larger hospital has bought the previous owner out and made a bunch of changes. Last year they closed the ltc and alzheimer's units. We have become a small hospital. We are finally getting new updated equipment.  There is not always a doctor in house on night shift. They have just started using the Robo Doctor. So on night shift when there is a code. One nurse from every floor goes to the code with the crash cart. We page the doctor on call for the night at another hospital. Then through the robo doctor they run the code. Maybe it is just me but I think it is all to time consuming. I have been there almost 4 years. We all work really well together on night shift and know what we need to do. Have any of you worked with the robo doctor? What is your opinion?

Spebbles, I agree. Sounds to me like you guys have it under control without robo doc. I haven't personally seen it, so I can't have an "educated" opinion, but I don't like the sound of it. A code isn't the time to be treated by a remote doc! Oh...and what's up with the post about the cold sore stuff? WTH?
