The university I attend requires a 950 on the Hesi to pass until we are allowed to sit for the boards. It seems as they keep increasing the requirement the more students are not achieving this goal. Many nursing students need help with this matter and I think universities need to reevaluate their program if students are not passing. Remember it's a tool to see how well they prepare students. Any suggestions? |

| Posted over 4 years ago You must have graduated from the same school that I went to? This wouldn't happen to be the University of Mobile? We also had to take the HESI, they used it as a requirement for applying for board also. We had to get a 950, u got three attempts, then if u didn't pass then u did remediation for several weeks and had 3 more times, paying tuition for the remediation class that they invented some where along the way. Hesi was 35 for each attempt, most of us finally got it on the 4 or 5 try, very few people passed in the 1st 3 attempts. My advise is answer as many questions as u can in Saunders Nclex, Kaplan Nclex. Hesi was nothing like what we had been taught. Good luck, when do u take the test? |

| Posted about 4 years ago we need to take the Hesi also. At my school we need an 870. I go to the city of chgo schools, which by the way DO NOT prepare the students for this exam. We have two attempts and then we need to retake our second year (even though we passed the first time). On that course of action, u can take it one time and then u are out. It's all about money. I wonder what Daley would think about a bunch of angry students on the news, showing the tax payers how their hard earned dollars are being put to work. it's a joke. i wish I new about this bologny |

. Good luck to anyone who has to take this test.
