I started all of my pre-reqs. in Oregon and averaged A's and B's, I have now moved to Tucson, Arizona (started my last A&P course) before applying for an Associates Nursing Program. Found out Pima Community College here in Tucson, AZ teachers A&P and Patho Physio ALL as one course. VERY DIFFICULT. So I was talking with a "recently retired" M.D. who said Patho Physio. is usually taught "in" the nursing program not as a pre-req. She is also a part-time teacher at Pima Community College (but moving back to CA) she doesn't care for the nursing program here thinks Pima teachers are teaching Waaaaay more then a nurse needs to know UNLESS you are planning on becoming a Nurse Practioner OR going on to Medical School. This M.D. has looked at the curriculum.
Does anyone know of a "good" honest nursing school in Arizona? I would prefer Tucson.
The other students I have spoken with (some are not passing this class but are being paid by the hospital they work for to go to school so they can repeat the class as long as the get a "C" you have to have a "B" or better in this class to move forward. They don't care they will just repeat the class. It shouldn't be THAT difficult.
Any suggestions????? I loved Oregon it was a good school and you had to work hard but it wasn't "over the top". If anyone knows what I mean I would appreciate some suggestions.
