Posted about 1 year ago Dear Group Members, Thank you all for the invitation to join Nurses Who Want to Change the World! Yes, I consider myself not so much as a mover and a shaker, but instead an independent thinker. I love being a nurse. Not only am I a nurse, I am also a criminologist! I want to see changes in our world that a lot of nurses are afraid of. In fact, they are afraid to take that first step. Not me. I got an invitation the other day to go to UAE (Middle East) actually to Dubai to nurse for a year. It is in a civilized part of the Middle East, and if I can find another independent thinker and someone who wants world wide travel to go with me, I'd drop everything and go - today! Any takers? Let me know! Mary K. Walker |

| Posted 11 months ago If I could change the world...people would not distinguish between race, color, sex, size, status, ...words like upper class would have no meaning....bigotry would have no reason to exist as a word and no one would understand you if you used the word racism...we would be one man under a GOD(no one cares)..together...celebrating the differences, seeking out opportunities to be with other cultures...our joy would come from loving our neighbor as ourself ,unconditionally.....money and food would be jointly shared...mi case is su casa would be true....don't get me wrong, I want the differences to be there, just undefined....cherish each other as we share this time on earth and of course ........I want a world that has no fear of any kind....no crimes...no wars...no hate.....a world where everyone is smiling......because they feel that way inside....perpetual bliss...I'm all for it....kiki |

| Posted 5 months ago I love the Margaret Mead statement! We can change the World even if it's just one person at a time. I believe Nurses working together for the improvement of health care and Nursing, can honestly see results in our life time. It takes more than a Village, it takes passion for people and compassion in action and allowing those who serve in health care the time and voice to do so. We need to speak up to our legislators and let them know we are a voice in America that helps carry the Heart Beat of the People and keep them healthy. We need to express our concerns and thoughts on how the health care system can be improved and the Nursing profession itself. Nurses have been Leaders in all generations and throughout History. Florence Nightingale laid the foundation, lets keep building this profession, each one with their tools in hand and a brick to pass on to one another in building the Nursing Profession and improving Health Care in America for everyone. Thank You for allowing me to weigh in on my thoughts and comments. Sincerely, The Beat Goes On |

Keep Smiling Nurses we can make a Difference together and individually.
