Posted over 5 years ago One of my sisters told me she was going to buy me the T-shirt that reads “Stop me before I volunteer” Why do you volunteer? What have you done? I have been on nursing mission trips to Peru, Moldova, New York (after 9/11) Flood relief with the Red Cross, Battered Women’s’ Shelter, and cannot remember a lot of them. |

| Posted over 5 years ago The old saying that you always gain more than you give is so very true. Also, so many helped me that I want to somehow pay back. |

| Posted over 5 years ago I absolutely love to volunteer!! I can't wait to be a nurse, so I can visit other countries and help them. Actually, that is one of the reasons I made the choice to be a nurse. Volunteering is very rewarding, even if you never get a 'thank you'. It is truly better to give than to receive. I love to give of my time and service, also because I know that God is pleased with my sincerity. I don't give for recognition or fame. I just give, as if I was giving to back to God, who has supplied all of my needs - unconditionally. |
