I am sorry, but I want to hear only support and celebration for awhile. I am tired of the opposition. Let's rock Obama...

i AM JUST SO HAPPY TO SEE OUR COUNTRY MOVE BEYOND COLOR. I AM SURE THAT RACISM IS STILL OUT THERE, AS THERE WILL ALWAYS BE IGNORANT PEOPLE IN THE WORLD, AS WE HAVE SEEN HERE ON NL, BUT WE ARE MOVING FORWARD.

GOD BLESS THE USA...

All he has talked about from his first day out is for us to all come together.

My hope is that the novelty wears off quickly ... Obama is not President because he is black, nor is he President in spite of his color. He is a good man, and will make this world a better place to live. This has been a long time coming. I grew up with the values of Bobby Kennedy and Martin Luther King Jr. It isn't pie-in-the-sky theology. It is believing in making a difference. Obama can and will make a difference.

I don't hate Republicans, and sure don't hate John McCain. He would have made a good President. But the better man got the job. Only time will prove that. Sure hope the hate for Obama gives way to at least an acceptance. Sad to see so much hate.

And, yep I think it is o.k. to jump up and down and scream it from the moutaintops

Barack Obama wins the presidency

I didn't vote for Obama, but he won.  I hope everybody will do their part in being a good loser.  I'm trying, myself.  Lets see what happens, maybe things happen for a reason, right?

I did not vote for Obama but he is the president-elect.  I think we all need to come together, for the best of OUR country.  The election is over.  Let's stop being divisive and be unified.  Give Obama a chance.  Time will tell what kind of president he will be.  Let's come together now folks.  If you were hired for a new job you would want people to give you a chance, lets extend that same courtesy to President Obama.

My two cents worth.

Now, can ya have a heart to heart with your homie Lisa?  Peeeeaaazzee, for the good of the group!  I think it will take more than one to help her get through the disappointment.

My boyfriend and I watched the election day specials and speeches together and for us it was so monumental.  He looked at me and said I believe that our kids will have a chance now.  Not just because of color issues.  My boyfriend is black and I am white, but to be able to tell your kids that America is really about the people and continuing to change.  I hope and pray that we can get out of this hole and I believe Obama is the man for the job.
