I have always felt it was a calling in my life.  When I was 8yrs old I decided I wanted to be a nurse. I have worked in ICU, Med surg, mental health, health dept. chemical dependence and LTC. I am retired now and loved every minute of nursing.  I feel it is a noble profession.

Wow! You were really called at such a young age... I really appreciated nursing while I was already in the program and doing my clinicals. It felt really good helping others in all ages and all types. Having to interact with them and their families as well. It feels really good when they thank you for helping them and making them well. You are very inspiring... You really love this profession until the present.

My favorite part is taking care of patients.  Inspiring hope and encouraging them through therapy and other situations.  Then at the end of the day, it is their smiles that get me everytime.
