| Posted over 4 years ago i have a lot of memorable experiences back when i was a student. but i guess one of my unforgetable memories was when my dutymates and i were assigned at the delivery room for the first time after our capping and badge ceremony... it was then that i ws able to appreciate life and all of us had that guilt feeling while seeing those mothers who are in labor and how much pain they have to undergo. all of us were able to picture out how our mothers felt when they were in labor too; because most of my dutymates took their mother for granted that's why they have that guilt feeling... (my mom died 3 years ago). and then, seeing the baby coming out from the mother's womb made me smile. it really amazes me a lot because for me it's a miracle and a blessing. but during the second day of our duty, i was the handle nurse that time or the one who will receive the baby coming out from teh mother's womb.... and unfortunately, the baby was already dead when it came out.. and i really felt bad about it and i know how the mother felt that time. i carried the baby, cleaned her the way we cleaned like the live babies, and then dressed her and before that, i was the one who performed an emergency baptism. it was my first time ever to do the emergency baptism which i learned when i was still in my second year of high school. i've learned a lot during my exposure in the delivery room. we were always assigned in a graveyard shift when i was still a student. |
