Posted over 4 years ago Hi, my name's Jen and I'm a student nurse here in Illinois. It's soooo hard.. I always think of giving up but right now I haven't failed any classes.. yet.. but I always feel like I will and I HATE THAT! I really hope it goes better for me after a few more weeks.. I just started nursing this year. www.nursejendoll.com is my website. It's a blog thing. So far, that is the only thing keeping me going. I like blogging and I call myself 'Nurse Jen Doll'.. that site keeps me going because if I fail to be a nurse.. then that site goes down, right? =/ It's so frustrating always keeping myself tippy-toed.. Sigh. |

| Posted over 4 years ago Jen hang in there. I completely understand where you are coming from. I am 2/3 of the way through school and in Med surg nursing right now and have yet to pass a test. My teacher says it will all work out but I have a hard time beleiving her. The only thing that kept me going is that graduation is in may and my spring semester was what I thought was going to be easy and I just registered for classes and have 14 more credits to take between Jan19 and march 13 before preceptor starts. I will make you a deal, you keep me in mind and I will pray that you make it through and God willing we can contact each other after we are both done and laugh about how stessful nursing school was. |

| Posted over 4 years ago Jen... DON"T give up...if you are passing right now, then that means you have what it takes. Keep studying hard and just believe in yourself. They say that if you have a positive attitude you CAN and WILL succeed. I know it is hard, but it will get easier I promise. I will put you in my prayers hun. A good man loves other. A better man loves God. A great man loves God and lives well among others! I miss you daddy!

| Posted over 4 years ago Hey Jen Doll: Coming from a fellow nursing student, I feel your pain. This is my first year in nursing school in Wisconsin. However, I was born and raised in Illinois and just moved up here a year ago due to my fiancee's job. I never know from one week to the next whether or not I am passing. I keep telling myself that this will all make me a better nurse, but to have to pass all of your exams, classes, etc. with at least an 80% is something that I am really struggling with. Nursing is not cut and dry, black and white. I find myself getting confused a lot! Well, all I can say is have a Happy Thanksgiving and try not to stress too much and remember the fact that you are stressing means that you care and you are going to make one heck of a nurse. I hope all is well in Illinois, I really miss being there.
