Well, the election is over.  Not how I wanted it to turn out, but I am an American.  I will always respect and honor our President.  I hope and Pray that Obama will do the best job at keeping our country a free and moral country.  The Muslim thing worries me a bit, but I am here to support him as long as he is a good and fair President.  Let us all pray for his upcoming inaguration.

A good man loves other. A better man loves God. A great man loves God and lives well among others! I miss you daddy!

Thank you for supporting our new President -Elect...but here's something to think about regarding your concern over the "Muslim thing"

Would it make a difference if Obama was Muslim? Or Jewish, Or Seventh day Adventist, or Mormon, or Baptist, or Catholic, or Budhist, or Hindu, or Wicken?

"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances"

Muslims serve in our military, are chaplains, are a vital part of our economy (just go to Dearborn, Michigan), are teachers, lawyers, moms, dads, doctors, nurses...

and please, this is not an attack....just hoping it will help us look at our concerns in perhaps a different light...

I would also like to point out, Mr Obama is not Muslim.  He was not raised as a Muslim.  Two years in a public school in Indonesia run by Muslims not does make him a Muslim, anymore than two years in a Catholic run school in Indonesia made him a Catholic.

Right!!!!  I cannot wrap my brain around why so many are STILL believing he is Muslim (not that this would make him any different but he just isn't).  I think a lot of this is derived from his middle name.  However, not every woman named Mary or Maria is Catholic.  Likewise, not every man named John is a baptist.

I am happy with the choice.  I hope that he can get the ball rolling on improving america. We needed a change and I believe he can help that happen.
