| Posted almost 4 years ago Now I know why the sweep second hand is so important! I bought the watch because it was analog and digital... I didn't even think about the second hand. I have to really concentrate when taking pulses so that I count the pulse and NOT the second hand! Oy. This is just a word to the wise among the new nursing students out there! |

| Posted almost 4 years ago I work around alot of pacemakers, plus my husband is a proud owner of one, also. I went through a watch about every 3-4 months, sometimes soon. I had a MD tell me the batteries in the watch were reacting with the pacemakers. He suggested an "ecko-drive watch". It kinitic and works off solar. They're expensive, I got mine on sell for $185.00 at Christmas. I have to admit, it's the best purchase I ever made. The only thing I've had to do is adjust the date. Good Luck!!!! |

| Posted almost 4 years ago First you need a watch that has a second hand of course we all know that but I have a stethoscope that has a watch inset on the stethoscope. I got it from www.nursesdirect.com. I like it because while I am listening to a patients heart I can check their respirations with out them knowing so they will not change their rhythm of breathing. I love it! I always wear a watch anyway. Most times though rooms have a clock in them but watches are a must on our clinicals. Our service to others is the rent we pay while here on earth!! |

| Posted almost 4 years ago Watch is very important for the nurses. And I recommend digital watch. Because through this they will base their readings. ______________________________________ Check out your own laptop briefcases. |

| Posted over 3 years ago Analog. I'd get a lapel watch or a keychain one. I hate the idea of bodily fluids getting trapped next to your skin. |

| Posted over 3 years ago Any Mudd or timex dial watch will do. About 20 bucks for a good one out my way. People are talking about scopes here as well and that is a different story - a Litt. master cadiology is one of the few 10s out there. I'm an audio freak and musician with a great ear for tone and I love this scope. Clear valve sounds, and faint S3 and S4 sounds cannot hide from it.
High hopes & God speed - Tim, R.N. |

Rolex, Baume et Mercier, IWC, Zenith,Jager LeCoultre, Piaget,Tag Heuer, Omega, Breitling.. in other words, anything with an ETA mechanical self wind or manual wind movement. Well OK the Rolex is an exception.. they make their own movements. |

That MD is indulging in what is technically called "ANALALLIA' ... commonly known as talking out of his ass.....Have him please explain the physics of this and get back to me.
This is one of the more idiotc thing I have heard in a LONG time.... it was good for a laugh. |

It is the classic nurses watch and attaches to your uniform top. Takes out the hand washing issues and damaging someones skin when turning them. The only thing to remember is to unpin it before throwing your uniform in the wash or linen skip at work. Maybe it is just the Irish, English and Australians that still wear them? Am Irish living and working in Australia
