I am considering Galen. They have a LPN-Rn course. Has anyone went to Galen or experienced a LPN-RN course of study.

I am about to graduate from Galen in a few weeks! I attend the Galen in KY and I do like it. The program is actually a LPN to RN program....If you are not already a LPN you will become a LPN first then go on to take your RN classes and get your ADN, but if you already have your LPN then you will spend about a year taking RN courses. I am finishing the LPN program.

They have been talking about offering courses online but I am not sure. The nursing courses that would be online are curses like English, Math, ect. The main nursing courses are not offered online to my knowledge.

I am a lpn wanting to get my RN online. Has anyone gone thru. Excelsior? Or any other online classes? What was your experience? Any advice?

I will graduate from Excelsior the 16th of this month. I was already a LPN and had a four year degree in a related subject prior to enrolling, and it took me about a year from start to finish. A word of caution, do not do this program if you are not disciplined and comfortable with self study, because the onus to learn is completely on you. It was a difficult, but rewarding program that I would recommend to anyone with the discipline to do it.
