I have no idea how to change it intirely, but I pride myself in not eating the young. It happened to me and it is awful. I hate to say this, but I think some women are so insecure, unhappy that they make themselves feel better about making it rough on others.

I think it sucks and if you figure it out, and change it completely, you are a Saint. Just remember this when you get older, not to treat new, young nurses or people disrespectfully. I love to teach, love it when I have a student and do everything I can to build them up, not tear them down. Best of luck...

I WENT TO SINCLAIR COMMUNITY COLLEGE AND CAPITAL UNIVERSITY IN THE LATE 1980'S AND EARLY 1990'S. LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU FELLOW NURSING STUDENTS.

I am 23, got my lpn end of last year. I go through the same bs as you do. It sucks really. Just because we are young. I will however be the first to admit that I don't know everything and need help from time to time and ask the "seasoned nurses for their advice or opinions at work. Those ladies have worked there for 20  years. It gets pretty upsetting sometimes but my unit manager is really great about helping me and calling me over whenever there is anything interesting going on. She calls me the baby nurse, or rookie. Which I don't mind, from her, because she treats me with respect as a professional. Best of luck!
