I am an LPN who has worked agency for about 10 yrs...I am tired of long hours out on the floor, I am considering going back to school to get my Batchlors in nursing or pyschology and become and addictions therapist or substance abuse counselor, so I would still be helping people, just not killing my back anymore out on the floor....
any ideas or suggestions on how to pursue this...what would be the best online certification programs?
thanks for any insight?/!

Online degree programs are great because you can create your own hours and you don't have to spend time commuting. This would also be a great option for you if you want to work while you're in school. Check out our EDUCATION section - there is a list of "featured schools," and I believe that some of these are online degree programs.

Go for it! I'm so glad that I finally finished my MSN and am now working in an office setting. My back, knees, and feet are thanking me on a daily basis. I do miss my buddies at the hospital though. I did my degree online and did my clinicals locally all while working full time.
