Hi Everyone-

I'm interested in specializing as a reconstructive surgical nurse.  Does anyone have the experience and how would I begin to look for training and a job in the field?

First of all, you become an OR nurse, get your training for two years in all areas of the OR and then find a facility who specializes in plastic reconstruction.  Or find  plastic surgeons who specializes in reconstruction and hook up with them.  Reconstructive surgery is a specialized area in plastic surgery that is not "cosmetic".  Rebuilding faces post trauma, scar revisions, rebuilding of limbs, in conjunction with Ortho, cleft palates, etc
