I'm so happy I found this site!  Can anyone help me..I am 45 yrs.old w 2 teenage daughters..my husband died 2 yrs. ago..i'm still rebounding.

I have been in the field of Esthetics (skin care specialist) for over 20 years. Have worked with Dermatologists in the past doing clinical skin care treatments in their offices, ie. acne care, peels, pre/post op facial treatments. Have owed my own business and found that wasn't my calling. I want to work as a medical esthetician so that I can do advanced work with a doctor, ie. injections, chemical peeing, laser..all the services that are offered in a Medi-spa setting or cosmetic/plastic surgeons office. Having a degree would help me but i'm not ready to do go for the full tamali (RN)..  Would having an LPN degree be enough for me to be considered a 'medical esthetician'..? I would like to work on the degree at my own pace and am looking to ease my way back into school as i've been out  since 1983!..

Any suggestions friends?

I say go for it.......go to school.   I am not familiar with this field, but the itty bitty town i live in recently got a medical spa..........I have been really interesting to check the place out.   I am sorry for your and your kids loss........I cant imagine what you are going through.

We only have one heart, take care of it!
