What shows/movies do you recall with a nurse, doctor, or medical theme?

Ben Gazzarro (spelling) I had to get this in before ljr3418-he knows everything about movies. My favorite was Dr. Kildare-remember that one? I thought he was dreamy-do you know who starred in it? I also liked Marcus Welby MD. Oh-I'm showing my age -aren't I?

Nope! Ben Casey was Vince Edwards. I had a Ben Casey notebook and a Ben Casey shirt! Richard Chamberlin played Dr Kildare. Julia! How could I forget that one? That was one of my favorites. Just saw Julia the other night on Grey’s anatomy. She was not playing a nurse!

The Doctor? Do not remeber that one. Years ago there was one called The Doctors and one called The Nurses. Anyone recall those two? They were on different nights of the week. Currin, was that a movie or TV show?

Quincy! I forgot about that one. Boy, I bet there a many of them. Anyone remember the Interns? Or, The Doctors, The Nurses?

Yeah,I remember Quincy and Julia.But I don't remember The Doctor.But I'm with lenex MASH rock's. I watch it every day.But my husband is into Scrubs.Each to their own.

Sorry you guys I still CANNOT get over George Clooney! (ER) Maybe cos I'm in Australia I don't know who the other guys your talking about (!!) But come on ... Clooney wins hands down!!!

And also, we have a show in Australia called 'All Saints" an aussie version of ER. It's so over dramatized ~ but does anyone else watch these shows and think to themselves "Your doing that wrong? " .. or " As if?"

Okay gang, Ben Casey was played by Vince Edwards, Dr. Zorba was played by Sam Jaffee, As for Dr. Kildare, my wife tells me that she used to kiss the tv when Dr. Kildare (Richard Chamberlan) was on. Kildare is a spin off of a 1940 something movie with Lionel Barrymore and Lew Airs( spelling not important) Then we get to my Favorite movie of all time The Magnificient Obsession. Rock Hudson and Jayne Wyman and Agnes Morehead.
Sorry for blathering, old movies are sort of a passion of mine. I suffer from a latent form of lectus potatois.(couch potato)
Never did see tha Doctor, Or Nurses.........But how about Doctor Who.(no medical inference inferred)

Sometimes at work we discuss Medical drama's on TV and have a big laugh and debate about how unrealistic they are... so its good tea break fodder !

interns? doctora? nurses? nope none ring a bell. I do remember Doogie, and MASH, and Ben Casey and Dr. Kildare. Nobody has mentioned medical center with chad everett?? I thought he was dreamy. I always watch these shows and correct them!! Now my daughter does the same thing. Can't really get into scrubs, and lost ER way back when. Marcus Welby and his sidekick, I used to call Dr. Bronson as he rode a motorcycle. Unfortunately Gray's is on conflicting with CSI and I am now a CSI fanatic. And don't forget the soaps with the medical bend... General Hospital. remember racing home form school to watch it, when Steve and Audry were involved in the hospital runnings. Back when Jesse was a floor nurse with a no good husband. No time now, and can;t get into the new stuff. Little Robin now has AIDS?? And Days of Our Lives, that was centered on docs and their work.

ljr, no no fight. It all depends on who is looking at George! Snake Pit. That's it.
gailp: General Hospital. Steve and Audry. That was the only soap ever that I was hooked on. I have not watched it in years. I recall Luke and Laura from that show. I gave up on ER a long time ago. Cannot believe it is still going. I quit watching when my boyfriend left the show. Hated it when everyone started sleeping around. I nver found Scrbs funny. Tried to watch that three times and just could not get into it.

What is the tv show that has Dick VanDyke in it where he is a doctor and his son is the cop and they solve crimes. i watched that all the time. I also used to watch Doogie Howser and Dr. Quinn Medicine Woman. What about House. Love it. I LOVE GREY'S ANATOMY. It is my break from homework on Thursday nights.

yes House is a good one, i like to watch that. He can be such a pain...did you watch the most recent ones where he played the game with his possible new team to see who he would keep? I thought that was kind of a weird way to do it but that is House for you hehe. I like to get into the shows on discovery health channel, like untold stories of the er, Dr. G medical examiner, and a few of the other ones that are on there that I do not remember the names to. I do not know a whole lot of the old ones, although I use to watch Mash and Doogie.

Vickie Lee- memories!! St. Elsewhere, Trapper John (I never could get MASH out of my viewfinder! )Chicago Hope I never truely got into. ADAM 12? I thought that was about cops on patrol? or is there another version? Dr. Quinn, never got hooled there either. Don';t really know why. Isn't it a hoot that we can identify so many medical shows that hooked us all? What about Energency? Dixie the ER nurse seemed to run the hospital, all in whites and proper cap.
pmbakerrn- Dick Van Dyke is in Diagnosis Murder, with the son who is a detective. Forgot about that one.
