When I finished a cart call on my patient who had to be sent to the unit (SICU) I hoped that he would make it. One week later, I looked on the board to find the patient's name after being transferred from the unit. I walked into the room to find a patient with smiles and the words flowed from his lips"Your my Angel"! What a warm, fuzzy feeling when you have had a active part in saving someones life and they were conscience to remember it TheReverence of an angel is such and Honor and priviledge to have bestowed upon us in our nursing career. May you all collect the meriads of Angel reverence by your patients due to the acts of your nursing!

Yes, I have and it gives me joy to know that I have been a special part of someone's life, that's why i chose to become a nurse.

Yes I have!

A family once gave me a little cardboard plaque with an angel wearing a nurse's cap and stethoscope.  It read:

"God couldn't  be everywhere, so he created Nurses",  they signed it, "To our angel of mercy".

I cried when I read it.  The patient had been the first of mine to choose a terminal wean, I was her primary nurse and was very attached to her.  She also had been a nurse.  I still get choked up.
