| Posted over 4 years ago I also was thinking of doing this. However, I couldn't find an online program to go from CNA to LPN. I only found online programs to go from LPN to RN. Let me know if you have luck. Good luck to you! |

| Posted over 4 years ago I am a c.n.a. & had thought about doing the online route to become an L.P.N. but there doesnt seem to be any places that offer it. All I could ever find was lpn to rn. but I think everyone is right it would be better to do the class room experience instead of doing it online in the long run. I know a few years ago i was a first year lpn student & had to resign because of family issue's but I cant wait to get back into it again. I know from personal experience its alot of work applying to colleges that offer an lpn program but in the long run its worth it. I know I am going threw the whole crazy admissions process again. I hope u & ur relative both succeeds in becoming an lpn. Health care is a very demanding field & just think none of us will ever be outta jobs. Good luck with all you do.. |

| Posted about 4 years ago The waiting list for LPN and RN schools is very long in some areas and shorter in others. In northern Ohio, there are a lot of LPN schools so there is usually not a wait. The college BSN and some of the AD colleges have long wait lists. The private AD programs on the other hand do not. So no matter where you live, check everything out. It is not as bleak as it looks. | Posted over 3 years ago I am a PCT and currently taking LPN online classes. I haven't started the nursing program but the school I am enrolled in is called Distance Minnesota. It is a 2 year program but you will have to do clinicals there (Minnesota) or North Dakota. They have 4 on campus LPN programs, they have 4 different community colleges but only one of their LPN courses is online. It's a degree program but if you have taken pre-classes at another college you can transer them to the school. The school is accrediated and when you get your license you can get it changed in your state. The school is called Northland Community Tech College. They have other LPN online programs in different states but not that not many. Here is a blog from an Rn who did the LPN program there and the RN program. If interested in this program make sure you check with your state boards , Call them and make sure they will accept a license from and accrediated online school, most likely if it is acrediated they will accept it, also this program is excepted by the Minnesota State Boards. Here are some links that can help you for those interested in this program. Even if you are not getting into the program right away you will have to take preclasses. http://deleern.blogspot.com/2009/07/wow-distance-lpn-program-at-nctc.html http://www.onlinenursingdegreeguide.org/nursing-degrees/whats-the-best-online-lpn-nursing-program/ http://www.state.mn.us/ Click on education or get the number and call to see if this nursing program is an accrediated LPN program. |

| Posted over 3 years ago There are no CNA to LPN bridge programs. Most LPN programs are through tech schools. They are usually one year in length. There are over 100 hrs of clinicals to be completed. My best advice is to talk to the LPNs where you work at to see where they went to school at. Go to your state's homepage most of them having listings of accredited LPN programs in your area. And one word of advice don't get sucked in to those diploma mill colleges, all they do is take your money and your time, and you'll have nothing but a headache in the end.
Good luck |

| Posted over 2 years ago Looked at the Minnay site. Their CNA to LVN program is nothing more than making money off a person's application to get a CA LVN license using the equivalent experience route. One still must meet the requirements listed at the BVNPT website and apply for the license the same way everyone else does. Best to keep your money and do this on your own. A course in pharmacology can be found in many places, most likely very reasonably priced. |

| Posted over 1 year ago I'm a CNA and I worked while going to LPN School. It was very hard and tough, but I did it. 'Til this day, I'm still working as a CNA, but when I take my NCLEX and pass it, I'll officially hang up my CNA Certification, but from time to time I'll still work as a CNA |

| Posted 11 months ago Hiya, According to a previous post by "leng", (a member of NL), it seems that you can take your exams for either CNA or LPN without further training.. she stated to contact the BON or the Health Dept... Best of luck... Teresa |
