Posted over 4 years ago So, Im in the military and going to school. I was planning on getting a general AS (cause I am only 3 classes away) and then deciding on a major. I had originally wanted to go on to get a degree in Vet. Medicine. I recently found out that I am pregnant, and have been thinking of going into the nursing field ( good job, good pay- and i dont wanna stay in the Navy forever). Im determined to get my Bachelors before I get out. So, my question is, Is it okay for me to have a general AS and then go into the nursing feild for my bachelors, or is there only certian majors that are accepted? Any input would help alot!! thanks! |

| Posted over 4 years ago Not sure what a general AS is. Is that associate degree? Its fine to pursue an bachelor for nursing. You would still have to take nursing specific classes before entering a bachelor nursing program [such as microbiology and Anatomy & Physiology]. Im not the best for advice as I did the bachelors from the get go. Hope this helps a little.
