DTV Transition

Posted over 4 years ago Ok...it's really driving me NuTs!!!!!!!!! How many times do we need it drilled into our heads that it's happening Feb. 17 (if it doesn't get pushed back)? We've been hearing it NONSTOP for the past year! On the radio, on TV, scrolling across the top and bottom of the tv screen during your favorite show, all over the news (it's frequently the top story). Do we REALLY need to be bombarded by it constantly? Is TV SO important that we hear more about this than the US soldiers that are being killed in Iraq and Afghanistan? Are we so dumb that we can't understand the whole thing YET? If so then we have bigger problems than a TV transition! Sorry...I just had to get that off my chest. |

| Posted over 4 years ago You know!!!. It is getting too out of hand. Most people have cable TV anyway. I can't understand, why they need celebraties to talk about the transitioning to DTV, it not like they are going to spend any money out of their pockets to help someone like me buy a convertor box for all three of my TV's. LOL!!! I hear if you wait too long, you will have to put on a waiting list for the 40 dollar coupons, which only give you a discount on one of your TV's. I am a proud mother of three beautyful daughter. I currently live in Los Angeles California. I've worked as a heathecare provider for almost 10 years. I am curently in school to pursue my MSN in nursing, and wants to work as a pediactric nurse, in public health. |

| Posted over 4 years ago You're right Cuttie, there is a waiting list for the converter box coupons. The Gov't. ran out of money for the program in Nov. or Dec. I don't know if they are making a change to the program for the people on the waiting list but when we got our coupons (it actually looks like a gift card) back in March we received 2 of them. In addition to the converter box you have to have good "rabbit ears" on each tv. We don't have cable or anything, we aren't home enough to watch it, and we can't afford it! They act like people can't survive without tv. In reality it would probobly be a good thing for many to go without it, they may just discover that there is a world out there! |
