Hi there! My name is Angela and I am a nursing student at Rivier College in Nashua, NH. I am in the second year of a four year evening program and LOVING it so far! I finished A&P I in the fall and am about to start A&P II in a few days!!

Is there anyone else from NH here? It's freezing up here this time of year!!! At least it will give me a reason to stay in and study! More motivation!!

I will be taking Microbiology in the summer and then starting clinicals in the fall. I'm not worried about Micro but I am very curious as to what will happen during the clinicals and the classes that go along with them...can anyone tell me about their clinical experience?

To all the nursing students starting the spring semester - Good Luck!!!

Well I think you will build strong relationships with your classmate first of all and I think you should enjoy that. As far as clinical experiences there are going to b good one and bad ones. Just remember that in the beginning u will be treated more like an aid. Our first clinical was assignment was to a nursing home. I will never forget that 1st weekend. All we really did was practice giving baths. we bathed and bathed everyone. there was a stomach virus going around on that floor and everyone and i mean everyone had loose stool and had many accidents. Learn as much as you can from whom ever is willing to teach you. There will be many Nurses out there who have forgotten that they were students once. Do not be afraid of doing things. I found it easier to volunteer for everything i could. If there was a procedure to be done I always wanted to be involved. Just remeber when things seem hard or when people are rude that all that will pass.

Good luck
