Posted over 4 years ago I saw president Bushes farewell speak yesterday. Did you know that his farewell speech was different from the normal farewell speech. The normal farewell speeches are normally done behind a desk, which in the oval office. Bush had 200 of favorite friends, and family with him on this important day. Bush appologized about his tactics on the economy or the people who wasn't behind him on the important issues. He was most boostful, about how he kept America safe from terrorist attacks during the 8 years he was president. A political science professor at UCLA Berkely, said bushes plan for the No Kid Left behind was a success, the first year he was president, but bush wasn't concern about our kids education, nor was he concern about the healthcare crisis here in America. I was wandering how was your concerns about his presidency when he was elected. Do you think Barac Obama, will get America back on the right track? Do you think Obama will provide protection for his America Citizens, or better yet, be a great friend of NATO. I am a proud mother of three beautyful daughter. I currently live in Los Angeles California. I've worked as a heathecare provider for almost 10 years. I am curently in school to pursue my MSN in nursing, and wants to work as a pediactric nurse, in public health. |

| Posted over 4 years ago I saw it........well, we havent had another attack, have we? I didnt read his attitude being boastful, myself.......just my point of view. To me he seemed almost sad. There are alot who are going to 'boo' this post and I really dont care because Bush did alot of things that made him unpopular. Bush was instrumental in bringing prescription coverage to seniors in the medicare payor system As far as being a friend of NATO...........I dont give a rats hiney. A bunch of corrupt politicians just like in the USA......remember the food for oil thingy? Bush has done more aide for hiv assistance worldwide over anybody else on the planet. When the Tsunami killed all those people years ago, who was the first to give out aide money......WE were. Everything on the planet that went bad in the past 8 years is not his fault. Bush did not summon Hurricane Katrina.........that disaster was unprecedented <spelling>. As far as some whacky professor at UCLA Berkley, what he thought, totally insignificant. Did you even pay attention to that guest list? Did you see that soldier up front with his wife who dived into an attack in Iraq to save 3 of his brothers in his unit? Did you hear him mention the md who was waivered the age limit so he could perform medical care to the US military as a battlefield surgeon? That md did that because his son was killed in battle.........and thought it would honor his son's memory. Those werent his 200 favorite friends........the majority were heroes. Did you see the guy who started that school in New Orleans after Katrina? Cuttie, it looks like you didn't listen to the speech at all. President Bush will no longer be our President in a couple more days..........and President Obama will be our Commander in Chief. I think he's impressive and honorable......he will do a great job. He has a huge problem with our economy, security against terrorism, and healthcare. He deserves our respect and prayers. As far as President Bush, I feel he did his best. | Posted over 4 years ago Cuttie girl your guess is as good as mine on your questions, I pray to God things will improve, I am a Repub BUT I am Not a Bush fan he grew the government more than any democrat ever did. I was not impressed by his good bye speak had he had any waavos (balls) he would have pardoned the 2 boarder agents in jail for shooting a drug runner in the butt but HIS friend was the prosecutor so I do not think he did, not sure but shame on him if he didn't he had a chance to do ONE good thing before leaving. I hope and pray Obama does what he said he will do for all our sakes lets give him a chance though! A busy RN is here |

lol! I personally am not a bush fan at all!...but thats over with now, so lets leave the past in the past and move forward. we've elected Mr. Obama and all we can do is wait and see if he's going to make a change. | Posted over 4 years ago David Letterman is going to miss George Bush terribly. Did anyone see the tribute to "Famous Presidential Speeches" on Letterman last night? Life is what happens to you while you're busy making other plans ~ John Lennon Scott |

Did you read my questions? I didn't say anything bad about President Bushes presidency. I was quoting some of his efforts he did well!, and what I saw and heard on the speech. I did see the farewell speech, and I am very aware of his guess list. I just said friends, because I was giving and comparison from the traditional farewell speeches in the past. and trust me, angie, I already knew about his efforts on protecting civilian citizens from terroris tattacks, way before i saw his farewell speech, so I have done my homework, and when I said Bush was boastful about his efforts on keeping American safe, It was a compliment to him. hell, I told my patients family last night about the md, that went to Iraq to practice medicine in his son's honor, I am greatful for him protecting America, and for his NO Kid Left Behind, thanks to his efforts, and my three daughter's had the best education, two are in Magnet school's one has graduated from highschool and now is in her second semester in college. I am not criticizing President bushes efforts, he did the best job he thought he could of done as president of the United States. I just was asking everyone's opinion on the questions I asked everyone. I am a proud mother of three beautyful daughter. I currently live in Los Angeles California. | Posted over 4 years ago I guess I didnt mean to sound down on the post.............he looked so 'beaten'. The speach didnt impress me near as much as the hero's he had next to him. Those people that were with him probably saved a bad speech. We only have one heart, take care of it! Angie |
