Most of my fellow MA's and I, we admire and respect all of the LPN's and RN's we are involved with, worked with, and know. We treat each other as professionals and in most cases as close friends and mentors. A lot of us aspire to one day further our education and become a Nurse.

I have never called myself a nurse, because I'm not. I'm the MA.  And post after post that I have found here talks about what we do, can't do, shoul not do, or just how we dare to do.  Also our schooling gets questioned and even our Doctors, and LPN's and RN's in our practices that allow us to work.  It is trully sad.

I had to bust my tail off in school like everyone else, I had to do clinicals, yes, clinicals, I have to recertify and take Credit Units yearly, and have to go to many training sessions a year.  I guess for some people that is not enough.

I carry my knowledge around not my title.  Being a military wife, I can tell you is almost like the military, having that arguments between officers and enlisted, what they do, don't do, or shouldn't do.

I know this site is called NursingLink.  People like me who getting ready to school join to learn about nursing, get tips on how to go through nursing school and socialize.

To me is just amazing to see how someone with CMA or MA in their title can be questioned so much, just because the word nurse is not on their title.  I admit, there are some MA's that are not the sharpest out there, but most of us really know our jobs and do it very well with the blessings of supportive family, friends, great Doctoras and awesome nurses that work beside us hand in hand.

My md has an LPN now, but did have an MA............I tell you, these women have my utmost respect.  I truly hope they both go to school to get their RN...........but if they did that, who is gonna give me my dex shots when I have my asthma attacks:??????   No anger, only caring and respect on this end here.

We only have one heart, take care of it!
