Posted over 4 years ago I was in orientation with some other nurses today and we came up with some ways to survive when you have a large number of patients and I wanted to share. 1. Go in to your shift at least 30 min early (arrive) 2. Check the 24 hour report to note any serious issues 3. Look over the Medical Administration and make a list of fingersticks due before supper and list G-tubes. Also gather tubings and label the bottles with names comparing carefully with MAR 4.Right before counting narcotics do walking rounds These things will help save some stress and time! God bless you all and I hope this helps let me know!
