"Go Here to Tag Me"

Posted over 4 years ago Don't you just hate getting those annoying messages from people you don't even know asking you to tag them. Honestly how can you tag them as caring, compassionate or whatever if you don't even know them. Does anyone else get these and do they annoy you too? I really wish you could block these. If I like someone well enough and want to tag them I will do so, but don't ask me to tag you especially if I don't even know you. Ahhh, I feel better now that I've gotten that off my chest. LOL |

Posted over 4 years ago I wonder if it is like the stupid "take this test" message. They go out without your knowledge or consent.

Posted over 4 years ago What about the old 'pull my finger thing'?

Posted over 4 years ago I think the "Go Here and Tag Me" is just as annoying as the "Take this Test" messages.

Posted over 4 years ago I agree - but the people who ask this do it innocently. If someone says "tag me" I look at the profile, and try to think of something to say. If I can't, I just say "friendly." One friend of mine (who is new to Nursing Link) said "tag me." Someone came back and insulted her. There's no need for cruelty like that! If you don't like the idea, just ignore it! Don't insult someone and turn them off to Nursing Link! (And yes, I can't stand the "take this quiz" things!) I know this is anonymous, but I prefer to post when everyone knows who I am... Rick (LawyerRn)

Posted over 4 years ago I can't see insulting someone b/c they asked you to tag them. I always just delete it. There are times I go to their profile, but they have little to nothing on the profile, so it's kind of hard to tag them. I think to insult someone that asked you to tag them is very immature. But hey, we do have alot of immature and mean people on here.

Posted over 4 years ago I think a lousy disposition in someones personal life carries over into their professional life, despite how tactful they think they are while on duty. Instead of being personable and caring they come off as being barely tolerant.

How do you expect me to not send you "Go Here to Tag Me" messages if I don't know who you are... |

Posted over 4 years ago When I first came to Nursng link I thought people were just boasting about themselves by putting those remarks under there names. It took a few days to realize that other people were "tagging" them. O.K I was a little new to this type of website. Now maybe they just want to fit in or gain some character in the community. I Think It Is Innocent. (I Hope). I rarely tag until I am sure of the person and their attributes.

Posted over 4 years ago What's odd sometimes is when you visit a profile and see all of the glorious tags someone has received, and then look at their activity section where they tagged themselves.

Posted over 4 years ago Again, the tag me may be an automatic thing that someone may not even be aware is going out. that is the case with the "take this test" message. I found that to be very annoying, They go out automaticly.

Posted over 4 years ago You know it's just a shame that when you type something, it can be taken totally out of context. B/C you don't hear their voice you don't know what tone they have, so it's easy to take things the wrong way. Also, it seems people take things so personal too, when it may not even be directed at them. Not just in the anonymous zone, but on any forum.

Posted over 4 years ago Sorry if we took this out of context. Not many people ask other people to come to their page and tag them. I usually "tag" people I know, enjoying talking to, etc. If I don't know you...how can I tag you? -Samantha- (sap)

Posted over 4 years ago Doesn't anybody have weird uncles/dads...........whatever relatives who would say 'pull my finger'. You do because they always ask when your in the middle of a sentence and you forget what will happen next, then they fart the most toxic biohazard stink in the USA? We eat alot of pinto beans between paydays in the South. When someone says 'pull my finger'..................its kind of like i'm gonna toot on you and there is no escape. A N G I E <this could be the next form of terrorism, if we send my Uncles Hugh and Bull...............Al Qaida wouldnt have a chance. Im also a firm believe this is a form of child abuse.

Posted over 4 years ago I don't get annoyed when people ask me to tag them, I just don't do it unless I've had enough "contact" with them to make a decent tag. As far as people who tag themselves, I think it's either 1 of 2 things: either they have no self-esteem and need to make themselves look "worthy" to the rest of us, or they just don't see the big deal about it and isn't shy about asking. But being nasty when tagging someone is just childish! ~emtpixie

Posted over 4 years ago I received 15 messages to "Take this Quiz". I know these go out without people knowing it, but I really wish there was something nursinglink could do about it.
