I don't know about the NET test. But perhaps getting a used Clinical Calculations book and working through some of the problems would help?

I find that working through LOTS of problems before a test gets me warmed up, gets my mind working in that mathmatic/chemistry way. (I'm currently taking chemistry and have to get a B or better! ouch!) I've also found that having study partners to go over problems with helps a lot... what one of us can't figure out the other one can & then we teach each other. A little like the blind leading the blind, but it has been immensely helpful to me so far.

Find some books on Math or get a friend to help.

This is a website for a "pre test" for the NET.  Find your weak spots by using this and then focus more on those while studying. You will do fine, I have test anxiety myself when it comes to Math...I hate that subject.  Just say a little prayer, eat a good breakfast, and just focus on you while taking the test and you will do fine! Good luck!

I started thinking about it more, and I have come up with an idea.  Go to the library and check out some books on math, do the problems over and over.  My dad always taught me that writing and repetition go hand and hand in remembering how to do something.  Like remembering what you have learned.  I ALWAYS go to class and take notes, then go home and REWRITE them.  I did this in EMT school, and it helped me get through it!  Good luck, you can do it.  Dress up nice when you go to take a test, it gives you more confidence.  I promise it works.  When I throw my hair up and wear my 15 year old sweat pants, I never do well.  If I pick out some new jeans and a nice top, I rock on the test. Try it, you will see!

there is no EASY way to learn. You just have to do practice problems over and over.

EASY WAY....NO...BUT there is a FUN way to learn MATH.......do it with someone else.  Work the problems together.  My hubby and I often help our daughter.  By the time we figure out the problem together....sometimes we are laughing hysterically!

Mathematics.... oh, woe!  At least, that is what I thought when I was young.... in Jr. High, I was woefully inadequate; to the point that I began to believe that I had a learning disability. My Algebra teacher asked my how I could be so smart and so stupid @ the same time

When I revisited a math class some (ahem, many!) years later, I found that I could learn it just fine!  I was amazed! Difference? I wasn't so intent on running the streets and chasing girls at 30+!!

Math is not like English, or Social Studies.  These can be learned by reading, and reflecting upon the material.  The only way to learn Mathematics is to DO mathematics: Over and Over and Over again until it sinks in.... time intensive to say the least, but gratifying!

If the instructor assigns the even numbered problems, do them AND the odd; he/she will be happy to go over them w/ you, 'though you might have to wait until after class.... still and all, a bit ego boost to find that one is not "math challenged," ha ha!
