hey guys!

I just finished taking my nclex-RN... the pc shut off at 85, only 10 questions over the minimum... I only got 2-3 select all that apply questions, no calculations., a lot of priotizations and meds questions... Would that indicate that I failed??? I'm really scared of the results... I'm really fearful that I didn't pass...  I just kept on praying... Did someone here have a similar situation to mine?

If my memory didn't fail me, isn't it 75 to 274 for the RN Nclex, and 85 to 180 for the LVN nclex, i think you did well. I was wandering did you work with you intern permit as a intern RN, for six months.

hi jane, took my nclex and finished all the questions without taking the break, got only 30 minutes left to me.

most of the questions that were asked to me was about prio, meds, select all were atleast 20, calculations, around 10.

still i think the answer here would be, there is no certainty of either passing or failing whether you finished the whole exam questions or you stopped at 75 or more. or irregardless of the types of questions that were asked, really hard to figure it out.

i tried to weigh in the performance i made on that day, thought most of the questions were easy (except calculations-lol), that gave me a little confidence, but still the question, what if i'm wrong, bothers me a lot?!

it is but natural jane to fear the unknown.

but believe me, you are just experiencing the same thing that we felt during the time  when we took the NCLEX.

help yourself not to worry, jane, anyway you worry or not the same result would still come out- that you PASSED the exam! so sure of that!

yes... it is 75 to 265 for the RN Nclex.. 85 to 205 for the LVN. I really hope I passed... I'm gonna get really depressed...  Thanks for sharing your side cuttie! And congratulations to you!

I actually didn't use my interim permit eventhough I applied for it...

hi ate lea!

wow! you really got through to the end. Don't know if I can get through that because my head easily aches due to my eye problem. you most probably passed the exam. I was told that majority who finished the exam, passed... You got different types of questions... I wanted to get the calculations but didn't!

I try not to worry but I just can't help it Ate...  I really hope so ate... I really kept on praying during the exam...

don't worry about the questions that was given to you, as i remembered with my exam, i only had 1 select all that apply (which i only picked one answer) and i probably had 5 questions about meds and the rest is prioritization. no calculations as well...

my computer stopped at exactly 80, and same as you i was freaking out, i am not sure if i did well. but, THANK GOD 3 days after my exam my aunt gave me the news that i PASSED (i didn't have the courage to check it myself, by the way you can see the result as early as 3 days on the web).

don't speculate whether you pass or fail based on which number the computer stopped. it's not really the basis of the result, i have a friend who took her exam and the computer stopped at 75, unfortunately she didn't pass, then on the second time that she took it, the computer stopped at 76 and she PASSED.

we have to remember that NCLEX is a COMPUTER ADAPTIVE TESTING, each question that was given to you contains certain percentage, and based on that the computer will analyze whether you meet the 75% that they need for you to pass.  if the computer stopped at 75 it means 2 things, either you got everything right and meet the 75% or you got everything wrong.... sorry... but this is the reality of it. the computer will give you an easy question at first, if you get it right, then it will give you a harder one, if you missed that, then it will go back to the harder one, and what i noticed in my exam is that it changes topic, everytime i know that answered it correctly.

so for now ms. jane, just relax, i know waiting for the result is worst than preparing for the exam itself. i know you did well and that you gave your best. PRAY.... and think positive, claim it already that you PASS.

GOD BLESS

hi apryl!

I wish I could see it that early... My test center doesn't give quick results. I just hope and pray I made it. The tension is killing me!

Thanks for sharing your situation, as well as with your friend. I feel much better now.  Is it really 75%??? I thought it was only 60%. wow! That's a really high standard. I hope I reached it...

Thanks for the help! God bless you too!

it's not the test center that you can get the result from, go the www.rn.ca.gov, go to the tab that say verification of license, if you pass, your license will be posted within 3 days, then the license itself, you'll receive it by mail within 6 days.
