Hi all, welcome to NursingLink. My name is Beth Anderson (some of you may know me as PixelRN) I've been searching for a web community like this ever since I started nursing school, and now I have the privilege of overseeing this nurse web community. I can't wait to meet all of you and I hope you enjoy the site!

Hello - My name is Gina and I am a second semester nursing student. I also work as a nursing assistant on a cardiac floor. I stay very busy with school these days but am addicted to the blogging community. I use it as an excuse to learn. Yesterday I had my first OR orientation and it was incredible. The patient had a thoracotomy and ended up with a lobectomy. I actually saw her heart beating inside her chest. It was so cool. I think this site is a great idea and I will check it out daily.

Hello from the UK.
I am (as some of you know) a bit of a blogger (http://maxenurse.wordpress.com/).
I am a double BSc. (hons) Nurse Practitioner, who escaped A&E (sorry ER!) to spend his time in a dusty old seaside resort GP surgery.

Happy to be here, glad to see some familar face and always pleased to see new ones.

Hi Marieke, welcome! I like your blog - lots of pics. Good luck in your last year of nursing school. Don't know about everyone else, but I found the last year to be the easiest.

Hi! I'm a nurse fan. I never could have gone through the training that you all did. I don't deal well with blood. In fact I was looking at an art show at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Artemisia Gentileschi from the 16th century was the artist. She painted a lot of paintings with the subject matter of a woman cutting off the head of a man (from the Bible, yes she had some issues). I was admiring her skill in using the paint and how the shear sheets of the bed and folds of clothes looked so real, soaked and splattered in blood. It was really exquisitely beautiful, then I suddenly felt really sick and almost lost my cookies!

Hi Tony! It's great to see some experienced nurses here on NursingLink. Hopefully some of the newer nurses at NursingLink can benefit from your expertise and experience.

Hi everyone. I found the link here through www.Military.com . I'm a LPN from Ontario Canada. i've been living in the US for 8 years now. Currently in Texas. This could change depending on where the military sends us. My hubby is active duty airforce. I have been home raising my boys and now its time for me to get back to where I long to be, Nursing.

HI everyone, I am Kaycee. I have about 6 Mos left in school to get my LPN. I have plans to get my Rn also, but my husband is active duty AF so it just depends where the military sends us. I have two children and my grown child (my husband). We are currently stationed in Oklahoma. I would love to go to OU for my Rn, but like I said it just depends on the military. I am excited to have found this. I am sure I will get good use of this through th rest of school and in my career. Thanks Beth, This looks great.

Hi! My name is Laurinda and I am a new grad from Arizona State University. My husband and I are awaiting orders to be restationed at Camp Pendleton, CA. Once in CA, I will be taking my boards and, hopefully, starting my career as an RN working with neonates. I am nervous and anxious to get out on the floor and put my nursing skills to the test. I'm so happy to have found this site. From what I have seen so far, it looks incredible! I'm looking forward to making some great friends on this site.
