| Posted almost 3 years ago I am sorry to admit that I hadn't read Nighingale's "Notes on Nursing: What it is and What it is not" until I purchased the commemorative edition over a year ago. This edition had many authorative nurse scholar's and theorists write chapters including Leininger, Johnson, Levine, Newman, Peplau, Rogers, Roy, and others. I would encourage your reading of this important text and look at the then and now. |

| Posted almost 3 years ago Linda M. Van Devanter, a registered nurse, was a Lieutenant in the Army, stationed at Pleiku, and Qui Nhan, South Vietnam from 1969 to 1970 Read the book Home Before Morning...VERY powerful, VERY moving!!! Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, martini in the other, body thoroughly used up, worn out and screaming "Woo-hoo"!!! |
