| Posted almost 3 years ago It is diificult for everyone to find a job. I have 7 years of nursing experience under my belt and I can not find a job. Ive put in dozens of apps with no call backs. I went to a job fair in LA and they said that u must have experience. I have experience in Med surg and pacu, i want to go into ICU but they all say that they will have preference for the employees that work at the facility before they hire someone new. So I keep trudging on. I guess I will use my med surg experience to get in somewhere and then try to transfer to ICU later. But I keep hearing its rough for everyone to find a job.. |

| Posted almost 3 years ago yeah, it's been difficult for everyone... and it really hit hard for nursing last year. Fortunately I am still doing part time work, and now found refuge in the CA state prison system. I hope that doesn't sound wrong. I didn't break the law or anything, they hired me on as an RN and I will most likely end up doing mental health there. I was interviewed for a med/surg/telemetry unit in San Diego (new grad) a few months back, but Sharp never bothered to call or write to me w/ a disicion.
