Is it Real or is it Model?

Posted over 5 years ago I'm asking about the lady in the lower left corner of the Nursing Link Home Page that's advertising nursing careers. ok, is that gorgeous person actually a nurse, or is she a model? if she's a nurse and the company is paying her to advertise for the nursing careers, GREAT. but if not ... well, i'd really like to see some other comments on this advertising tool and, yes, i'm absolutely expecting to see comments veer off toward the "beauty" in advertising culture we normal people have to endure. ... is it real or is it model ...

Posted over 5 years ago CEC, my vote is MODEL. I can't remember the last time I looked THAT good at work...or anyplace else for that matter! LOL! I agree with the advertising culture comment though too...why can't we look at "normal" folks for a change? Nothing against beauty and all, but... Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, martini in the other, body thoroughly used up, worn out and screaming "Woo-hoo"!!!

Posted over 5 years ago My husband and I recently auditioned for a commercial for an insurance company. This is a medical insurance that is supplemental to Medicare. One of the roles was for a nurse. I did not want to go for the nurse role since I do that all day every day. I wanted to go for the motorcycle chic role. Did not matter, they did not pick us. Anyway, the commercial just started airing here and the woman playing the nurse does not look like any nurse I ever worked with. And the motorcycle chic? No way does she look like she belongs on a motorcycle. Kinda’ hurts my feelings they did not think I look like a nurse. They said I wasn’t old enough. Blah, blah, blah.

Posted over 5 years ago there goes another model at the top of the home page. She certainly doesn't look like a nurse-no wrinkles in her forehead-hair too perfect-not weary looking .

Posted over 5 years ago cd nurse...sorry to hear of your commercial debut loss, however, you have to look on the bright side...they said you didn't "look old enough"!!! ; ) Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, martini in the other, body thoroughly used up, worn out and screaming "Woo-hoo"!!!

Posted over 5 years ago Model.... model.... model.....model !!! From what I've learned from you nurses/medical professionals... don't have time to stop, strike a pose and flash a perfect smile. I'm guilty of using a pic of a model on my site as well. Maybe someday when I have money, I'll get a hospital to let me take some pictures in a busy MS unit. That's a bit redundant isn't it? "busy MedSurg unit"

Posted over 5 years ago She is definitely a model. I only say that because she looks like she could model other things like pajamas, or detergent or something.

Posted over 5 years ago cd now you remember what the doc said about you pole dancing, right? You just can't do that in public...people would get jealous of your agility...cripes, I can't bend over (physically speaking here) backwards anymore! LOL! Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, martini in the other, body thoroughly used up, worn out and screaming "Woo-hoo"!!!
