I don't have anything nor have I seen anything about this med in a journal. My husband did take this med to try and stop smoking, and it didn't work for him. I know some people that have taken it and had good results, but also some that it didn't work with. That's pretty much all I know about it.

I haven't heard alot of about Chantix either.  I work with a girl who just started using it, but I don't that it is helping her out much.   I don't know if this webiste would be helpful for you.... http://www.drugs.com/chantix.html  The Military uses Chantix....they are pushing very hard for a smoke free Military..so smoking cessation booklets are everywhere. 

I used Chantix to quit smoking and it worked great.  I did have some side effects for instance, I had vivid dreams for about a week, this bothered me as I usually do not remember my dreams and they were pretty weird!  I also experienced gas and bloating along with nausea, but I combated the nausea by taking it after I ate, the gas and bloating stopped when I stopped the med!  It was really embarrassing though because you just couldn't hold the gas in!!  Funny I never noticed an odor, and I don't think anyone else did (I HOPE)
