Reducing call Lights - Nursing Home Rounds

Posted over 4 years ago I work in a nursing home/rehab center and we are in the process of reducing call light usage by doing hourly rounds. How can you measure the reduction when our machine that tracks the call lights does not work and will not be fixed any time soon based on the budget. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated, Thanks, Una Betti, RN

| Posted over 4 years ago Not much choice but to have each employee who answers one make a note of it, then report the total on a form at the nurses station at the end of shift.Charge nurses report the total for the shift to the D.O.N. - Rick (Long Term Care Administrator) |
