Hi all. I am 38 yrs old and have worked in the office environment since I was 14. I have always wanted to become an RN like my mom but I was intimidated by the responsibilities that come with the job. Now that I am older and wiser, I am so ready to begin another career path.

I already have my Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration. A relative suggests that I become an LVN first because it takes a just over one year to complete and I would also have the opportunity to get out in the field and eventually work my way upward to become an RN. Is this the best route? Or, should I go for my ADN? Would I be able to enter the BSN program w/o first becoming an RN? I am a bit lost.

I will talk to a school counselor at some point in time. Thanks for any advice.
