do i need a local license in the philippines before i can apply for CA nclex/

Posted over 4 years ago hi! i live here in washington but i wanted to take the nclex exam in California, my question is do i need to take another licensure exam if i wanted to work here in Washington dc? and my other question is i graduated from the Philippines and doesnt have a local license there, is it a requirement in CA to obtain my license first in the Philippines before i can apply for my CA NCLEX? i have a green card does it help? really hoping you can help me..

| Posted about 4 years ago if you take the exam in CA and pass it, you can ask the BON to endorse your license to DC, which i think you only have to pay $85 (i'm not sure about it). and if you're asking about the requirement to take the exam, well there has been a lot of question about it. i myself graduated from the Philippines last year, i do not hold a license from the Phils. and still i was able to take my exam. but i heard in some cases, CA BON is asking for a local license. there is a posted forum about that here, i suggest you browse to it. hope it helps. good luck! |
