Some Nurses.....

Posted over 4 years ago I have noticed over he past few months that some nurses think as themselves as "all that." More degrees are thrown around than necessary. Some come off as like they are above cleaning up a patient. There is no question here just an observation. I know I will catch hell for posting this yet I really don't care. A nurse is a nurse. They are here to help with patient care, support and hope to those in need. |

| Posted over 4 years ago Where do you work? You need to take it up with your charge nurses. |

| Posted over 4 years ago In here? You mean on NL? I have not seen anyone on here like that. All I have seen is encouraging to continue with your education. Not seen anyone yet say that it is beneath them to take care of a patient. I have an MSn, will be going back to school in Sept for my DNP and I still change beds, give meds and help LPNs, MAs, whoever whenever. |

| Posted over 4 years ago Nurses that get into nursing for the right reasons don't fit the 'all that' category in my opinion. I'm not sure if you're talking about her on NL or in your workplace, but I've seen nothing but kindness and encouragement in my dealings here on NL. If you see that at work, then I'd take care in looking for another job or as someone else noted; 'taking it up with the charge nurse'. I don't know why you think you'd get flack, because I hate to bring it up, but you're posting in the anonymous zone and you didn't sign your name! ...ahem... |
