Aisha, although you and I will never agree on this topic because I am pro choice, I do agree with you about one thing. If a person is pro-life how can that same pro-lifer be for allowing abortions in the case of incest or rape? Isn't that a major contradiction for a pro-lifer?

Why was Scott Peterson charged with a double homicide?  He should just be charged for killing his wife, not the baby.

It  doesn't matter how far along someone is when they are murdered and pregnant, the person gets charged for both baby and mom.

When people are executed their life is terminated, also. I terminate bugs all the time, terminate means destroy a life.

Plain and simple also. I think that people that are prochoice would do better by calling it for what it is, ending a life. Maybe that is what the battle is "skirting" around by using various terminologies.

Choice is just what it says.......a choice. It does not always mean ending a life. You can choose to "end the life" as you call it, or choose to have the baby.

John, I love the fact that we agree to disagree respectfully.    At any rate, I honestly can't speak for those individuals who somehow think that if a child is a product of rape or incest it somehow now becomes ok to take their life.  I personally feel differently.  I do believe that rape and incest are horrific crimes, and I have first hand knowlege of them, but even being a survivor, I feel a child concevied of these actions has the same beating heart as a child conceived in a loving marriage.  It would make me quite the hypocrit if I saw fit to terminate the life of a child conceived through violence but not ones who were conceived through consensual sex.

Margaretellen, I have been asking for years why Scott Peterson was convicted of taking two lives, when his wife could have had an abortion and not raised an eyebrow.  This is where the true hypocracy lies.  Thanks to the unborn protection act, Scott Peterson was convicted of taking the life of his UNBORN child, however, if an abortion had been performed it would have been perfectly legal.  As I've said previously, to the pro-abortion group, it's only a bably if it is WANTED, if it is unwanted, it is expendable and not human.

Ironic isn't it. Also we had a  man with a DUI, that ran into a car in which a lady that was just barely pregnant and 2 children were killed.

He was charged with manslaughter of 4 PEOPLE.

This deserves a response. For all of you out there, I encourage you to read the book "Aborting America".. It was written by one of the two MEN that started NARAL...now please, I have yet to meet a man who had an abortion.  My story goes back to 1982, when I found out that I was pregnant, the day before my twenty-first birthday.  I went to Planned Parenthood (or should I say Barrenhood?) and was told that I had no right having children, was given a list of how much items for children cost and was asked how I was going to afford it on my own.

I was violently ill, and at that time felt that I only had one choice. I wound up at Family Planning Associates. I was told that I was further along, thirteen weeks. I was never, ever given a laminaria "tent"...it was ten years later when I was in nursing school to find out that it was done incorrectly.

I was sent home, and began bleeding heavily...three pads an hour. I called the 800 number, and told NOT to go to an ER...wait until Monday.   By now I had horrible cramps. Looking back, it was labor.  I had a horrible pressure, and went to the toilet...and passed off my baby...it was perfectly formed, can remember seeing its rib cage...but the legs were gone.

I called the clinic, and they told me to save the "tissue"....they just LOVE that word, too bad they don't know the difference between tissue and a baby...anyways I went back, and they took one look at it and threw it in the trash.  I later found out that the owner owns Santa Anita Racetrack...paid for with abortion money.

Way too many people use abortion for birth control...I am against it, because of the term "choice".  I even met a guy who paid for TEN abortions " I had to keep going back to her...she was beautiful" the other side just loves the word "choice"...we already made a choice!

When you look at the statistics, abortions were sought out by married women...In  an article written by Dr. Mary Calderone (Planned Parenthood) back in 1959 says that abortions were safe, and that 90% were done by doctors and done well...that was why the death rate was so low.She also mentions the use of antibiotics lowering the death rate...years before Roe V. Wade...

It is insanity...so many girls sleeping around...my daughter, who is twenty-one, knows of a girl who is twenty and been to bed with eighty-four men! I mean, that is bad news...as a RN, I just shudder at the idea that there is no accountibility .....and what might happen  to them

Please note.... if you want to adopt out your baby, make sure it is perfect... with blonde hair and blue eyes.  Otherwise, couples don't want it.  Its called American Hypocrisy.

That must be the quote of the most bitter person in this country.   You told Aisha that one of her posts was ridiculous.........I wont say that to you because its mean and I feel sorry for you.

Angie, I was also highly criticized for being offended by the "perfect" baby comment. But I agree with you...sad, sad, sad.

If Americans want just "perfect" babies with "blonde hair and blue eyes," why do so many adopt Asian or African babies? Simply because:

1. our ridiculous bureauocracy makes adoptions so difficult! and

2. Lots of people will love any innocent child regardless of race

Of course if you are only acquainted with racist idiots, I guess you might think that all Americans think that way and are hypocrites!

To begin with, rousse61, I am sorry for your victimization and I totally believe your story.

About the perfect child., well, my only bio daughter is very very white, white blond hair and blue eyes. I thought once I should die her hair because there was a rash of people kidnapping those perfect children for prostitution....

But my keeper foster children, David has blond hair and blue eyes, schizoprhrenic and an IQ of 70. We adore him.

the other one is an orphan from Korea, Soonie. Soonie is older than my daughter and when she took my daughter shopping someone thought she was my daughters mother. Now see, some people are color blind.

I would also like to apologize to rousse61 for the earlier comment made by SEVOFLURANE.  It is appalling the things this individual says.

For anyone who hasn't noticed, Sevoflurane says the most obnoxious, hurtful things possible.  I'm not sure if he/she is really like this, or just feels the need to hurt others constantly, in order to feel better.  In any case, I honestly can't imagine being this person.  The amount of hate is unbelievable.  I actually think he/she likes to hear us say these things.  Why else would he/she constantly be posting this way?  It is one thing to have an opinion, and quite another to say such obnoxious things to others!

Try applying some critical thinking skills here people......Who cares HOW many people a woman has slept with? Why was this point brought up ? Why mention its except to appeal to emotion....

And what EXACTLY is the point of mentioning how many abortions a guy paid for... how did this conversation in the waiting room of the abortion clinic go.....

Her. " Hi"

Him " Hi, is this your first?'

Her " Yes"

Him "You know.. i have been here 10 times.. the 11th is free. Don't forget to have your card stamped"

The SECOND post on a forum and this poster revealed very personal information and referenced two publications that are anti choice,,,and you people do not smell a troll?...

Florothane, sorry I am know I am not spelling your name correctly, and I apologize, Just do not want to go back.

I am not sure how long your have worked in any variety of situations. But I had a lady come in that had 8 abortions and she was bragging

about this. She was trying to decide if she wanted to keep the current pregnancy.

End of story, she never came back to our clinic, and I don't know why. It may have been because I suggested birth control.

Margaretellen....what a great suggestion....and logical too!  Imagine that....a woman OR man who use birth control so they are not creating children that they do not see value in.  Evidently this female you had contact with was entirely too ignorant to figure this out on her own.  Abortion as a form of birth control is absolutely ridiculous, and for someone to be proud about the fact that she took the lives of eight of her very own children is chilling.  I have asked in the past, however, why more women who have had abortions do not share their experiences if in fact they are pro abortion and have no personal issues with the fact that they have had one.  Seems only logical that if you have had a great experience you would want to share it.  Makes me think that the majority of abortions aren't so grand, and that the majority of females who have them aren't all that proud of their decision afterwards.  This female you had contact with seems to be the exception...I would love to hear her story.

I have not logged on in some time, nor have I placed any comments regarding this issue.....now, I will comment......fefe, as it was stated, there are many avenues to help you....there is WIC, there is government assistance...they will help with housing and an income.....there is the food stamp avenue as well......there is so much out there to help the single mom with children that is in financial need......I cannot see why someone would go and  abort their children....those that have gone thru the pages and read my postings know I am definitely prolife.....I will never change......and in comment to SEVOFLURANE your comments are pretty much ignorant at best....they are very condescending in tonality and they are insulting towards others.....abortion is murder in every aspect........as to why Peterson was charged with 2 counts instead of 1 count is pretty much explanatory......and to think he has his own website and is asking for money to help with his appeal....hmmmm......he killed a pregnant woman...simple as that.......I agree with his charges.....and I think he SHOULD have been charged as he was......there is no accountability for anyone's actions......not even those that choose to lay next to a man,, get pregnant and then end up having an abortion to "take care of the problem"............there are so many out there that wish they could have children and its a slap in the face to those that cant by those that go and get an abortion for what ever their reasons are...........

Careful WIC, Food Stamps and government assistance is also referred to by many on this site as Socialism.  Oh my Gosh Obama has poisoned your mind you agree to the government providing assistance to those who need a leg up not a hand out.  You could be under attack at any minute by many of your pseudofriends on this site for supporting, nay promoting socialism.  I hope they see the light and come to believe in our government helping those who need it and support a public option for healthcare too.

GOOD GRIEF people.....I didnt say a thing about supporting Obama......NOR did I say anything about supporting socialism.........I believe in the system for those that truly NEED the help........so many are abusing it so its hard for the pregnant women to get the help they need.........and WIC is there to help the pregnant women and fetus to grow  healthy.......as well as the young children.........and the other aspects of the government help..........I have HAD to use the system a very long time ago.......but I didnt abuse it as others do..........everyone is quick to send money overseas to help them, but what about our own? we have hungry people here in the US..........but we are talking about pregnant women here and they need help as well as anyone......

I believe in helping others too. I agree about not sending so much money overseas, but I do have a world vision child.

I support our local communities.

My nephew used the government assistance  for his child that died, and for he and his wife. They are both working now.

That is how it is to be used.  IT can not be all or nothing, so if we agree that some people need help, and they already get the help

it does not mean everybody needs help. .This bill scares me , not only for the loop holes about abortion but all the other loops.

Of course food stamps and assistance programs are "socialist" in nature. I believe that in a nation with over 300 million people, some such programs are necessary.

BUT I think what scares people is that the federal government is trying to control TOO many aspects of society. In my opinion, we need to be "a little bit" socialist, but when we become "too socialist" the US will have declined to become similar to some  European nations, and our citizenry will have become too reliant on federal control of every aspect of their lives.
