to me it means alwayse being on time being there when some one needs you most being able to be called in last minute and go ing to work Being considerat to other peoples needs and opinions with out sneering, or talking over them when I worked at a memory care center worked with a patient whose family was never there, she could be difficult at times and it never bothered me I took care of her for almost 2 years and one day she had a stroke and was put on hospice the next day. I was devistated, we had a special bond.  durining the next few days I went in before my shift and sat with her and told her what a wonderful woman she was.  I went in and sat with her for a while after my shift then would go home and worry all night what if....I didnt want to leave because I knew there was no one who would be there for her when she passed. I had two days off and came in both days On the second day she was nearing the end of her journey . I sat with her reasuring her that every thing was ok, I told her I was not mad if she left me and  would be be with her husbend, I sang for a while and layd next to her I finally sat up and walked to the frount of her and said its your time please go it will be ok, I sang amazing grace and told her once more her husbend was waiting I kissed her forhead she took one last breath and passed away.I cried   I stayed with her for five minutes and then went and got my friend Mike a Rn on duty. I was sobbing all the way down the hall way to the office. when I got there He knew by my tears that sh had passed  He hugged me and told me it was ok and that I was a special person to do what I did. that made me cry harder but it made me feel better. I stopped crying and we walked in and checked for a heart beat.  I stayed with her until after the funeral home came and got her. I had been there since 11am and I stayed until 10 pm.
