Just curious.............but has anybody ever done told somebody they just jinxed our night at work by saying 'wow, its really quiet tonight'..............or 'wow, im caught up with my charting and both units of prbc have gone in well w/no problems".............'geez, wish it could be like this everynight'..........

At that point everybody gives that nurse the 'stink eye', and then all hell breaks loose and everything that can go wrong goes wrong.   An hour before the shift is over, you get a call from the house supr............saying we're gettting 2 admits.............then the gal who has been doing blood transfusions, and #3 is on the way, suddently blows her int and has the crappyest veins on the planet.    Plus everybody is suddenly incontinent and goes poo.  That poor nurse who jinxed everybody is now the villian of the floor...............well, at least for a day!   I jinxed my unit on Wednesday and thought about getting my hair dyed hoping they'll focus on my bad hair day tomorrow night and  will feel sorry for me and understand I will never say the 'q' word again.
