Posted about 4 years ago HI!! I am hopefully going to Nursing school in September for my LPN licsence. My concern is I'm not sure where I can work... I've been told that I'm pretty much lookin at a Nursing home and that's about it. I have plans to continue my education and eventually go for RN, but 1 thing at a time. So my question is... as an LPN what are my job options? Or does it vary on where I live?
Thanks :) |

| Posted about 4 years ago Doctor's offices, home health, nursing homes, travel nursing and (some) hospitals. If you work for the Government (Civil Service job), you can work in a hospital without a problem, if that's where you want to be. Good luck to you! | Posted about 4 years ago I think it depends where you live. I was told that the hospitals would be offering jobs left and right when you get into your clinicals. But again, thats here in Michigan and we have a shortage of nurses here. Don't get discourage. Keep trying the hospitals, if that doen't work, try the nurseing homes, or other health facilities, this will give you some experaince and you may find that you really like it. Good luck. Proud parent & wife. Would not be here without thier support! |
