In my speech class, A guy gave a speech about he was against Psychiatric Drugs for Children, he said that some of these drugs do more harm, or doesn't help them at all. Has anyone heard of Teen-Screen in there childs school. Sound Off.

I have not heard of Teen-Screen. I have read alot about the adverse effects of Psychiatric drugs on kids and have witnessed the effects first hand. It seems nowadays some professionals are so quick to put a label on kids and throw drugs at them. I believe that some of these children need them, but it is truly becoming too common and maybe we need to look at why all of these meds are needed or prescribed so often.

I am so happy that I do not work with the little kids. I do from time-to-time have to deal with adolescents that are in the jail and being tried as adults. I do not order meds for them. I leave that for my boss. He has a great deal of experience with kids and knows the drugs that work for them. The drugs are not tested on kids. Most drug trials are also done on males, not females. Therefore, we have no way of knowing how the children will react to drugs. Believe it or not, birth control pills were tested on males, not females.
