Welcome...this site has a lot of friendly people on it.  Good luck with finding a job, right now it is so hard for everyone, but don't give up and stay positive. 

I have been a nurse for 40 years.  Back in the "good ole days" I applied for a job at Massachessetts General Hospital in Boston.  I walked into the hospital without an appointment, met with the director of nursing and told her that I would like to work on the orthopedic floor.  She looked at me for a few stunned seconds then reached for the phone.  She called up to the ortho floor and said, "I have an RN down here who wants to work in ortho."  They brought me upstairs to check out the floor and meet with the head nurse.  They asked me when I could start.  I told them I could begin as soon as I got my little apartment in NJ packed up.  I started 2 weeks later.  I had no question when I made the trip to Boston that I wouldn't come away from there with a job.  It has been that way for me down through the years and the numerous jobs I've had until this past January.  I lost my first job and it was pretty traumatic.  WHAT HAPPENED???  It is hard for everyone now, but you will definitely find something.  i will begin working for an agency, doing home health next week.
