Posted about 4 years ago I noticed, lesser and lesser members are making comments on our forums, some topics are even left untouched for almost weeks?! Where are the guys and gals?! Don't we have inetersting topics to discuss anymore?! Just getting curious.... i mean... |

| Posted about 4 years ago I just think some topics have been covered or people just don't feel they have the anwers they are looking for. How many of us are students? How many of us are actual nurses? This forum is much more used than some of the other forums. I think (like me) that people are busy with thier jobs or thier studies. I know when I start scool soon, I will not be on here as much. I have gooten alot of help from people on here and researched a lot of information. Ask, they will answer. Maybe later, than sooner on some questions. I'm pretty new here, and I love this site. :) |

| Posted about 4 years ago I think there are quiet a few questions that are repetative, that is why they are not being addressed. You can backstalk and see how many times a particular question has been asked - and answered.

| Posted about 4 years ago Another reason are the games that have taken over the forum. Many of us, simply no longer have the time or energy to find the topics. |

| Posted about 4 years ago Just curious...... What do you mean by "games taken over"? And, do you nurses mind having new students posting so many questions and participating in the discussions? |

| Posted about 4 years ago I like having students on here. But there are to many games. |

| Posted about 4 years ago I am sick of the mindless topics and the games. Many of us have complained over and over about the games to no avail. A topic is started and it gets lost b/c the games are so much more important. Many members have split b/c of the stupid points and stupid games. there are too many on here who are not students, CNAs, or nurses and are pretending to be nurses. Just collect points. that is soooo important. |

| Posted about 4 years ago Sorry to hear about all the games being played and how aggravating it can be. Please don't let it deter you from being a helpful nurse. I would like to say that I'm new here and I appreciate all the advice and support that a few of you experianced nurses have given. So for those of you who are actual nurses and on here for the right reasons, I give you a big thumbs up! |

oh well, in my own opinion i dont think points matter, just enjoying games, relieves stress, too. our jobs in hospital is very stressful, this is one of the special time where we "detoxify", anything wrong with that?! just do your thing here and we'll do ours

If the games are played in the game forum section, why does it matter? I think the game section was a good idea. Its for the people who are at work and want to enjoy some of thier free time doing something constructive. So, I don't understand why all the fuss???????? |

| Posted about 4 years ago Wish, those friends of our here would stop criticizing the games section in NL< actually whether we admit it or not, Games Section does help a lot of members here to spare some time for themselves, by playing games, obviously it makes them feel relaxed after a whole day of stressful work in the hospital. If its popular, then we could say, members do love it more than any other sections in NL. Nothing is wrong with that guys, right? Please stop being a bore, all work and no play? Huh, who would like that for a life?! |

If you want to play, then go play. The criticism is not to the game players but to the NL staff. The nursing subjects, and this is a nursing site not a game playing site, get lost. That is all that Deb, others and I said. We want the games to show up somewhere else so that relevant nursing topics are not lost. Does that make us a bore? Ginny |

| Posted about 4 years ago I agree about the games. They are not even fun. I don't understand the point of them. They are the only things that get any activity on the forum. There are TONS of other postings that just go unanswered. You can see that people view them, but nobody replies. I don't mind people playing the games, it's not that. If you enjoy it then by all means. But I and I'm sure others like me come to this site to get info about nursing or talk about nursing subjects and when all you see is some game about "name that movie" is the only topic that people are replying to, it makes you want to go elsewhere. Honestly, if allnurses wasn't blocked from my work computer (I don't work in a hospital--still a nursing student) I wouldn't even come to this site. Because there is so much more "nursing related" activity there and a lot more interesting things to read. |

| Posted about 4 years ago First of all, NO one has said no games. Many of us have simply asked they be segregated away from the main forum so those who do not choose to participate don't have to take the time to try and find relevant topics we would like to participate in. Secondly, if there was a segregation, students and new nurses wouldn't have to start a new topic, but find answers in questions already submitted and perhaps continue on lively and relevant topics. I don't understand why some feel we are attacking games, when we are not attacking games but rather the forum leaders doing nothing to segregate them away into their own area. Perhaps a remedial reading course for comprehension would be beneficial? Deb |

Maybe I'm old fashioned, but I view computer access at work as a priviledge and not a right. I do not play games at work, nor do I surf the web at work. First of all, where I work, it is frowned upon and it could very well get you fired. You all had better read the policies and procedures manual on the use of computers in your institution. The computers there are for education, patient care, pertinent information, not games, surfing the web, shopping or anything else one does on their own personal home computer. Deb |

| Posted about 4 years ago you can see the most recent posts for each category. why not check a category instead of recent discussions? then you can avoid games. |
