I am a R.N. that is locally living in philippines (philippine citizen) i want to take the CALIFORNIA-NCLEX?
i want to take the CALIFORNIA NCLEX nursing board but it's requiring a social security number to register to even take the test.I checked with pearsonvue.com AND http://www.rn.ca.gov/

I am currently in the process of getting the proper paperwork to live and work there in the USA...

In the meantime i wanna pursue my nursing requirements and take the nclex.

IS THERE A WORK AROUND THIS?

As far as i know, you can take the NCLEX_RN exam even if you dont have the Social Security Number (SSN)  yet,  but in case you  pass the NCLEX-RN exam through the California Board of Nursing, a letter will be sent to you stating that a SSN is required before a permanent license is issued. I don't think they require first for an SNN before letting you take the exam

The letter from the California Board of Nursing also states that the SSN must be provided within a 3-year window or the applicant’s file will be considered abandoned and destroyed.

Goodluck on your application!
