Iwhere to begin in pscy NP?

Posted over 5 years ago Hello, I am inetersted in beocming a pscyh NP and wondering if anyone could give me any info. on the best path to take. I hold a BA in another field. I was wondering if I could go into a MSN program and get just a MSN In nursing. and then would I need to get a certicate from another program to do NP ( pscyh)? | Posted over 5 years ago If you already have a BA you should look for a program which can give you a masters in nursing in three years (this will also give a BSN, making you an RN and also an NP). I'm not sure what specific programs are out there. And it is "psych" which is short for "Psychiatric nurse practitioner" I believe. IS that what you meant? (oh and there is a Psych NP who participates on this board a bunch, so she could probably give you a lot of info) |
